Upcoming Tour – Philippines 2009

8 September 2009 4 Comments

It’s incredible how quickly time flies when there’s a lot of work to do… in just over a week, 5 of the boys from Australia will be flying to Bayug, Philippines, to run camps for 5,000 kids in 6 days.

That’s a lot of kids, and not much time…

The schedule is packed, our donations are being finalised, and all the boys are eagerly awaiting the trip, especially since this will be the first time all bar one of us is going to meet our Big Bangs Philippines team, who have proven themselves as champions for quite a number of seasons.

A large part of the funding we receive this coming weekend through the generous efforts of the Uni Basketball League, the Canberra Players League, Tongue and Groove and of course Basketball ACT is going to be distributed in the Philippines through basketball equipment, court upgrades, donations to the schools, some Rapid Action Basketball and of course our skills camps throughout the week.

We would like to thank everyone who has so far contributed; your generosity has truly humbled us all!

If you would like any information about the upcoming tour, please contact the Big Bangs Australia communications director, Rieuk Gass: rieuk@bigbangballers.org
