After two months of intense basketball and rain, the 1st Big Bangs Basketball League in Dhaka, Bangladesh recently came to its conclusion.  The two organizing teams ended up in the finals as the BIG BANGS defeated the GULSHAN YOUTH CLUB, 62-56, to become the inaugural champions.  In the 3rd place match, 1st division club, Dhumketu, beat the American Embassy team, the Eagles, 49-38.
  The league was a great success….here are the numbers:

You can’t play if you don’t have a team or anyone to play with, right?  Wrong. 
The Big Bangs changed all the rules for their recent league by allowing a unique team to register.  This team was composed of a bunch of individuals who had no team, but wanted to participate in the BBBL event.  So the Big Bangs held a tryout to select the team.  But the tryout wasn’t on the basis of who was the best and most talented….it was on the basis of who came to the most …

The boys have been busy in Bangladesh, from fundraising to running a league to competing in another, running coaching clinics, buying shoes for the kids at Jaago…
When you’re a Big Bang, sleep doesn’t seem necessary.
Meanwhile the Big Bangs have been holding their own on the court in the BBBL.  Undefeated to date, their teamwork, defence and hustle is beyond reproach.
