First French Big Bangs Champions

The Big Bangs France launched their activities in April 2010. After taking benefits from a tournament organized in the Alps, we sponsored two teams, boys and girls, in the inter-uni annual tournament. Great success!
The IEP boys and girls teams won their respective tournament in Strasbourg, France. The teams, led by Cesar and Domi, both member of French board, gave their maximum to beat teams like Paris, Lyon or Lille.
In spite of a difficult draw, the boys did a terrific come back to win, in a breathtaking final game, the championship …

Canberra Player’s League All-Star Game 2010

Ladies and Gents!
Last year we had 3 players make it on to the CPL All-Star Ballot… this year we have 6!!
So congratulations to the following:

Canberra, Thursday 26 November 2009:
The BIG BANGS CEO, Pierre Johannessen has been awarded the title of ACT Young Australian of the Year.
Chief Minister Jon Stanhope presented Johannessen with the coveted award at the National Portrait Gallery recognising his tireless efforts in humanitarian aid globally.

Canberra Players League 6th August 2009

And the streak continues… after a huge previous week, Big Bangs Australia followed up their win against hte Regulators with a victory against the Wingmen.
Fighting off some pretty play by Scotty, the Big Bangs rallied around lots of hustle by Wayne, Ingmar and Brian on the defensive end, with some strong inside play from the bigs Raff and Ilya.

Not a day goes by that I am not filled with pride at the work the Big Bangs continue to do around the world.

The Big Bangs and Adam Gilchrist

Wow.  The Big Bang Ballers just spent the morning with none other than Australian cricketing great, Adam Gilchrist.
Gilchrist, Chairman of the National Australia Day Council, met with Pierre at the Civic Youth Centre in Canberra as part of the Australian of the Year Awards.
Pierre was nominated by our good friend and Canberra Players League representative, Dean Brown, who also volunteers his time and efforts to the Big Bang Ballers. A big thank you to Dean and the CPL for their kind words and nomination.
